Civano made me think both of Eric Satie and Philip Glass. And, although I was informed that he is an architect, I think I would have thought so even without his knowledge. For one thing, a couple of his works include town scapes blended into a murky, monochrome surroundings not devoid of a magical touch. His other works are serene, well organized visual propositions in wich the interplay of textures catches the viewer's attention. Ther is also a certain elegance in the combination of materials (paper, iron, wood, not all in the same work) wich gives a welcome variety to the whole of his output, especially considering the spareness of the elements he uses, an economy which extends to the color schemes too, on the border of monochromatism.
