The battles
"If I paint a battle, I look after information in suitable books,
before beginning my work, and then I spread my imagination.
The painter lives his painting. When he paints a battle,
he is the soldier that fights, kills and dies.
His spirit is in the painting, and that is what he transmits
to the observers, that is what the others see."
